Software development as an idle-game theme
idleCoder turns the visual language of a coding workspace into an incremental game. A terminal-like stream sits beside resources, stage progression and an upgrade shop, giving the player a sense of building an increasingly capable fictional development operation.
The reviewed interface includes separate views for bounties, achievements and an IPO-style prestige system. These are game abstractions, not a service that writes or ships real software on the player's behalf.
A modular browser implementation
- Vue components for the workspace and progression screens.
- Pinia state management and a separate game-loop module.
- Dedicated modules for resources, stages, upgrades and bounties.
- Optional sound, notifications and number-format preferences.
An inspectable game experiment
TypeScript and Vite provide the development/build workflow, with utility styling and browser presentation separated from game-state modules. The source includes Docker/Nginx packaging.
The root repository has no project README, so this description is based on the inspected interface, package manifest and module structure. It avoids claims about undocumented balancing or release maturity. The image is conceptual rather than a captured gameplay scene.
