An editor that keeps work in the browser
PiX combines image editing and vector composition in a desktop-style browser workspace. The documented application imports common raster formats, editable SVG and its own project files, then lets users arrange and adjust the resulting scene.
The hosting container serves static assets. Images and projects are processed locally, including background removal using a bundled model rather than a remote image API.
Editing and recovery
- Layers, groups, selection, transforms, drawing and text.
- Cropping, resizing and raster color adjustments.
- Local background removal and multiple export formats.
- Undo/redo and IndexedDB autosave.
- Versioned project archives for portable editing sessions.
Boundaries matter
Browser storage is convenient but can be cleared; important work should also be exported. SVG features outside the scene model may be simplified, and the first release does not claim PSD, RAW, CMYK or collaborative cloud workflows.
The application is AGPL-licensed, with separate obligations for dependencies. This page's illustration is conceptual and is not a captured document or a result produced by PiX.
