A real map as a fictional game board
Lando's concept places a strategy economy on top of real-world map data. Players acquire in-game plots, build resource infrastructure and connect production chains over short sessions and longer planning horizons.
The important distinction is between geographic reference and ownership: the game concept does not grant ownership of actual land or represent real property transactions.
The documented direction
- OpenStreetMap-based geographic context.
- Production that can continue between sessions.
- A centrally managed game economy and account model.
- Caching intended to reduce repeated map-source requests.
- A containerized local setup.
An evolving implementation
The README labels the technical stack as planned, while the repository contains frontend, backend and map-import work. This overview therefore describes the direction without claiming that every proposed feature is complete.
Current balance, supported geography and operational readiness are not independently established by this page. The featured illustration is a fictional strategy map, not a screenshot, cadastral map or statement of land rights.
