FixIt

A browser-based workspace for preparing images, video and audio with local processing.

Conceptual illustration for FixIt.

Prepare media for its next use

FixIt brings image, video and audio tasks into a single browser workspace. Its documented processing model keeps media on the user's device, combining browser capabilities with FFmpeg WebAssembly rather than sending files to a remote editing service.

Three kinds of media, one workspace

  • Crop, resize, compress and convert images, with before-and-after comparison.
  • Trim and crop video, adjust playback speed, extract audio and create GIFs.
  • Trim audio, adjust gain, apply fades and export to common formats.
  • Clipboard input, drag and drop, mobile editing controls and installable app support.

Browser capabilities matter

WebCodecs provides a hardware-accelerated route where supported, while FFmpeg WebAssembly covers additional operations and formats. Local file storage supports edit history and larger media workflows. Actual performance depends on the browser, codec and available device resources; documented speed claims are not presented here as independent benchmarks. The illustration is conceptual rather than a screenshot.
